Dear Friends of Invested Faith,
I’m writing this month with a heart filled with tremendous gratitude for all of you. Your support as Invested Faith has grown from an idea to a network of almost 60 faith rooted social entrepreneurs in 22 states has brought us to this month’s big news: a tremendous anchor gift from St. Peter’s UCC in Ferguson, MO to begin the Invested Faith endowment…and the unveiling TODAY of an opportunity for individuals to join the Invested Faith family and become a monthly giver!
I keep at this work because it is such a source of hope and promise for the future of communities and individuals whose faith animates our lives as we walk through the world. Thank you for helping me continue to grow Invested Faith, turning a dream into impactful reality. Isn’t that one of the best expressions of faith? I think so.

P.S. I hear often from people of faith that they worry about their adult children, who don’t seem to have an interest in traditional institutional expressions of faith; I understand this, as my three adult children are in the same boat. And while what we learned doesn’t always speak to them, our young adults are not void of concern for our work to heal the world. All three of my kids have become monthly givers through Seeds, a turn of events that has filled my heart with hope (and grateful tears!). Join me in sharing this opportunity with your adult children!
Introducing: A New Way to Support Invested Faith!
Invested Faith is so excited to launch our new monthly giving program, Seeds! Seeds is inspired by the parables of Jesus scattering seeds, tossing them with abandon so that they may have the opportunity to grow. The Church is changing but the healing and hopeful work of God continues, sometimes where we least expect it. With a monthly gift, you help Invested Faith fund the social entrepreneurs who are changemakers, and join a community of faithful people dedicated to making a difference.

ICYMI: Invested Faith receives $1,000,000 gift!
Earlier this month, we shared some exciting news: St. Peter's United Church of Christ in Ferguson, MO, has voted to anchor the Invested Faith Fund with a total gift of $1,000,000! You may remember that St. Peter's voted to give Invested Faith a gift of $200,000 last year. Our partnership has only grown and deepened since then, and over the next three years, St. Peter's will be making gifts to total $1,000,000.
This generous contribution to Invested Faith reflects St. Peter’s mission and vision and their history as a justice seeking community. St. Peter’s long-time presence and impact in the Ferguson community through their resource center and local partnerships now expands to include justice issues across the country, as well as offering support for the 5 Invested Fellows working in the St. Louis area.
