Dear friends of Invested Faith,
We have so much news to share with you as 2024 begins! Watching Invested Faith come to life in real time this month has been beyond exciting, and this email hits some of the highlights.
Founding board member, De’Amon Harges has served for three years on our Board of Advisors. We bid him goodbye as he rolls off the board, but his voice, wisdom, and influence remain. Thank you De’Amon for your service! And, we’re delighted to tell you that stepping into a role on the board this year is Rev. Christian Peele. You can read more about Christian and the vast gifts she brings to our work; we are excited to welcome Christian to the IF Board of Advisors!
Among the many exciting developments to tell you about this month, I’m so delighted to report that our first-ever in-person gathering of Invested Faith Fellows happened just two weeks ago in St. Louis. The energy and light generated by these world changers meeting each other was breathtaking. Make sure to check out the video and blog link below!
And finally, we’re delighted to share a short documentary film telling the story of one faithful congregation investing in their neighborhood and in the future. Good Faith Media and Invested Faith spent most of 2023 learning and telling the story of St. Peter’s: it’s a film that reminds us of resurrection—the promise of God that will never stop pushing for goodness, healing, and new life in the world.
Thank you for your support of Invested Faith. It’s a tangible way in which you are insisting along with us that we can change the world and that new life is always, always possible.

Celebrate our First In-person Fellows Gathering!
Fifteen Invested Faith Fellows braved icy winds and travel delays to gather in St. Louis, Missouri January 17-20. It was a time of shared learning, building connections, and celebration!. So many thanks to Victoria White for her assistance with the program and thoughtful leadership.

Invested Faith cannot even begin to thank De'Amon Harges enough for his 3 years of service on the Invested Faith Board. A founding board member, De'Amon offered his wisdom, encouragement, and innovative thinking to help shape the early decisions of this fledgling fund. De'Amon has left a lasting mark on the work of Invested Faith.

As we say good-bye to De'Amon, we now welcome our newest Board Member, Christian Peele! Christian brings her wealth of experience and knowledge to the work of Invested Faith. We are excited to have her as a part of our Board!
We're telling the Story: A Partner Church
For over a year, the Invested Faith team has been working with Good Faith Media to tell the story of St. Peter’s United Church of Christ in Ferguson, MO in a short documentary. For over a year, we visited and we listened. Along with Cliff Vaughn and Mitch Randall from GFM, we heard the story about the church’s decision to remain in a beloved community and work to create resources for their neighbors.
