Invested Faith Secures Anchor Supporter

Invested Faith is pleased to announce the Eula Mae and John Baugh Foundation as an anchor supporter in our work. The Baugh Foundation’s initial grant of $150,000 will help lay the groundwork for an organization that bridges the gap between institutional Christianity and social innovation in order to better steward our individual and collective resources.

Established in 1994, The Baugh Foundation seeks to support nonprofit organizations that reflect the love of Christ by providing assistance to those in need, enriching the lives of children and youth, keeping faith communities informed and engaged, and protecting individual freedoms.

Support from the Baugh Foundation along with investments from other individuals will create an organizational runway from which our work can be launched. In its first 6 months, Invested Faith will invest in infrastructure and market research to determine the feasibility of launching a full-scale social impact fund. This phase will include, but is not limited to:

  • Branding, marketing, and website development

  • Media content for public consumption to normalize conversations on faith and money (e.g. a podcast, trainings for pastors, sermon resources)

  • Collection of stories of social entrepreneurs changing the world

  • Refinement of a narrative economic theology and engagement with pastors and other leaders

Successful implementation of this work will lay the foundation for securing additional capital for the creation of an evergreen fund with the ability to receive assets from donors, foundations, and faith-based institutions for the purpose of investing in under-resourced social entrepreneurs all over the United States.
