Enough courage to keep hoping
Dear friends of Invested Faith,
Our monthly news arrives in your inbox in the middle of such terrible news assaulting us from all corners. Our world is not okay, and death seems to be the only narrative by which we’re living these days.
I know this feeling of despair and resignation because sometimes I struggle with those feelings myself–I certainly have this week.
Temptation to give into a narrative of death in its finality, however, leaves off the end of the story. As people of faith, we know that death ends with resurrection, with hope, with the creation of new life in places we thought death had won. Remembering this is why I do the work of Invested Faith, and I hope the news that follows will nurture hope in your hearts, too.
Meet Kevin Wright, a stellar new addition to our Board of Advisors, the group tasked with naming Fellows. Read the story of Lizzy Case and her amazing business, Arrayed. And be inspired by news of our first Institutional Partnership!
It is my hope that all of this good news will give you the courage to keep at the work of healing our broken world. And I hope you’ll consider doing that by being part of the work of Invested Faith.
Wishing you just enough courage to keep hoping today.
Invested Faith Partnership
A Win-Win Partnership
We’re so excited to announce our FIRST Institutional Partnership! The Board of Local Trustees (BOLT) of the National City Christian Church in Washington, DC, a Disciples of Christ church, offered to partner with Invested Faith to add to the Invested Faith funding for the KIT project.
Meet Invested Faith Fellow: Lizzy Case
Case is a writer, theologian, and founder of Arrayed, a liberative people-first, planet-focused Christian apparel brand that aims to align the call for justice and wholistic flourishing found in Jesus’ life with the messages on and production of Christian t-shirts.
