Rev. Christian Peele

Christian Peele is a theologically-trained organizational strategist whose leadership is shaped by the faith-based conviction that the world can be made whole.

Christian has held senior roles in the public, private, and non-profit sectors in some of the most complex organizations in the world. She has worked in the White House twice. She was Special Assistant to the President and Deputy Director of Management and Administration for President Biden, leading personnel strategy. Her work led to historic advances in diversity and inclusion, including the onboard of the most diverse White House staff in history. Prior to that, she held two posts in the Obama White House, including having been the Administration’s first African American Deputy Director for White House Operations.

Most recently, Christian served as Chief of Staff of ImpactAssets, an impact investment firm with more than $3B in AUM that moves capital to values-based causes.

Christian has also led in historic congregations. She was Executive Minister of Institutional Advancement at the historic Riverside Church in the City of New York and worked in ministry at the Church of the Saviour in Washington, DC.

Christian has a Master of Divinity from Duke Divinity School and Bachelor of Arts in Religion from the women’s college at Mary Baldwin University. She is ordained in the American Baptist Church. Christian’s writings have been featured in Faith & Leadership and the Huffington Post.

She and her family live in Brooklyn.
